It all started with a phone call: we were selected to be one of the four competitors in the episode of “Bruno Barbieri - 4 Hotel” dedicated to historic residences in Umbria! An adventure begins—a journey of discovery and a true team-building experience for our entire staff.
Emotions, so many emotions, rushing by at the speed of light. The desire to give our all, to show how much love we have for this place, for our region, for hospitality, and to convey how much effort, work, and time it takes for a guest to live an unforgettable experience—an experience that moves them, leaves a memory that makes them smile, that makes them want to return, and that allows them to feel that they’ve spent well the most precious thing in this hectic world: their own time.
Posta Donini 1579 is “The Pleasure of Rediscovered Time.” It’s about living history, letting yourself be guided through the discovery of the art preserved within the residence and its botanical garden. It’s nature, wellness, and relaxation, and the joy of savoring excellent wines and dishes that tell a story.
How do you convey all of this on a television show? By doing our job the way we always do… with a little “extra emotion”—the kind that makes your legs shake, that leads to mistakes and laughter, that pushes you to give your very best, even on an occasion like this.
We chose to let three hoteliers (the most critical judges one could have) and the great chef Bruno Barbieri, who has made the pursuit of perfection and attention to detail his life in the kitchen, experience Posta Donini 1579.
